Nyuusu

Had my mid-term yesterday, visited my host dad's school in Matsumae today. Not much to report, so here are three interesting Japan-related articles that I read recently:

• NYT article on how the Japanese government has recognized the indigenous rights of the Ainu people
• Takeru Kobayashi has failed the Japanese people yet again
• A report on what Japanese people think are the greatest attributes of Japan and the Japanese people... (1. A sense of the four seasons; 2. Diligence; 3. Kindness... 14. Ability to express things vaguely...)

I'm leaving tomorrow morning for a 3 day trip to Noboribetsu, Ootakimura, and Toyako!
